It's Faith's (Alyvia Alyn Lind) birthday and the party being thrown for her should be a happy and exciting time for everyone in Genoa City, but the scene of the party will also serve for some serious drama on The Young and the Restless.

As Dylan (Steve Burton), Sharon (Sharon Case), Nick (Joshua Morrow), Chelsea (Melissa Clare Egan), Victor (Eric Braden), Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott), Victoria (Amelia Heinle), Travis (Michael Roark), Mariah (Camryn Grimes), Kevin (Greg Rikaart) and Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) all gather together for the celebration, the tensions between some of them will also make their presence known, and more than one altercation could take place.

One such incident will occur between Mariah and Chloe, after Chloe confronts her about the feelings she obviously has for Kevin, and how that is clouding her judgment towards Chloe's attempts to reunite with him recently. However, Mariah will stand her ground and inform Chloe that her problem is actually more with the secrets that she is obviously hiding about her daughter Bella's father, and the fact that she had a change of heart about Kevin after Adam's death, and she isn't going to let Kevin be used in the way Chloe is obviously planning on.

"Kevin is my best friend, and I can't stand sitting back and watching him get used," she says in a preview clip for the Thursday, September 29 episode.

However, her finally telling Chloe what she thinks will only lead to more drama, as Chloe will maintain she genuinely wants to try with Kevin again, and Mariah will need to get over it if they're going to continue working together at Chelsea's fashion company-leading Mariah to promptly quit her job. And when Kevin later confronts her about possibly quitting because she's jealous of Chloe, Mariah will warn him that she's lying to him and he will get hurt. But when Kevin maintains that Chloe is being honest with him, Mariah will just shake her head and walk away, finally realizing that she can't help her friend this time around.

The Young and the Restless airs Monday-Friday at 12:30 p.m. on CBS.
