Gleb Savchenko was injured this week while rehearsing for the next episode of Dancing With the Stars.

Savchenko, Jana Kramer's pro dancing partner, suffered a knee injury earlier in the week and has been sidelined, according to a new People report.

"Doctors have advised Gleb to rest his knee," says a statement from DWTS. "In the meantime, he is helping Jana as she continues to rehearse for Monday's show."

Dance troupe member Alan Bersten is filling in for Savchenko and will presumably be dancing with Kramer on Monday.

"Gleb is still going to rehearsals but Jana is running the routine with Alan," a source told the magazine. "They won't know until Monday if Gleb will be able to dance on the live show."

This season of Dancing With the Stars has been prone to injuries - most notably Sharna Burgess, who has been sidelined since last week due to her own knee injury. James Hinchcliffe, her partner, danced with Jenna Johnson on Monday and continues to dance with him as Burgess remains out.

However, Burgess is hopeful that she can get back in the ballroom soon, especially given the dances this week.

"Heading into Week 9 of the competition, I am still going to rest my knee as much as I can but I am planning to be back as soon as possible," Burgess told Just Jared Jr. this week. "We have two dances these week and it is also ShowStoppers Week and I am very excited about our pairing. We will be dancing the Paso, so you already know it will be fiery, passionate, and very strong!"

Dancing With the Stars airs Mondays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
