Beyonce and the Dixie Chicks performed an epic duet at the 50th Annual CMA Awards Wednesday night.

Beyonce proved she could span all popular music genres at the CMA Awards, performing her song, "Daddy Lessons", off her smash hit album, Lemonade. The Dixie Chicks, who had previously done a cover of the song in concert, joined her in the performance.

They received a standing ovation at the end of their performance, with Dixie Chicks lead singer Natalie Maines saying, "Good job, Bey!"

"Daddy Lessons" is easily Beyonce's most country-tinged song from her discography. The song features Beyonce singing about her father, Matthew Knowles, and the various lessons he taught her growing up in Texas. With lines like "Daddy made a soldier out of me" and "my daddy said shoot," such lessons have inspired her to be tough in a difficult industry.

Reaction to Beyonce at the CMA Awards was mixed overall, with some saying she gave a great performance and others suggesting she didn't belong there.
