He didn't take well to realizing Hilary (Mishael Morgan) had lied to him again about being on her best behavior when it came to pretty much everything she does, and now, her betrayal could wind up costing Devon (Bryton James) his life on The Young and the Restless.

After the truth about Hilary tripping Mariah (Camryn Grimes) on live TV came out, Devon took off in the sports car he had just won at the New Year's Gala Auction. And as he wound up being continually tormented in his mind about Hilary's piles of lies and betrayal, he also lost control of the car on an icy road-and has since crashed.

Now, he is being rushed to the hospital to see if there is any hope to try and save him, as he has internal bleeding and his life could genuinely be on the line, which will lead to more tension than ever before between his wife and his family.

Meanwhile, Hilary had returned home after the gala to wait for him to come, but he never showed up. Now, before she gets the phone call that could change her life forever, she will be forced to deal again with being reprimanded for how she acts when Neil (Kristoff St. John) arrives to talk to his son, only to learn that he never came home. As he also lectures Hilary, she will get the call about Devon, and both will rush to the hospital to see him.

When they arrive and learn what caused the accident, it will increase the tensions between Neil and Hilary, as it becomes alarmingly more cleat that Devon's accident was a direct result of what happened at the gala. However, as Hilary begins to cry over contemplating the fact that she could lose her husband, Neil will soften, and she may find herself with at least one other person on her side.

The Young and the Restless airs Monday-Friday at 12:30 p.m. on CBS.
