Tim Duncan who is in the midst of legal proceedings to divorce his wife of 12 years Amy Duncan, revealed that he has lost 25-30 pounds lately, according to a report on Rotoworld.com.

The Spurs center told Rotoworld's correspondent Dan McCarney that he has lost weight from his peak weight of 255 to 260 pounds. Duncan reportedly changed his diet and committed to getting leaner in the offseason, according to the report.

Duncan said he made the change because he wasn't ready to retire yet and decided that he needs to be in better shape in order to keep contributing on a high level, the report says.

Amy apparently filed divorce papers on March 27 in Bexas County District Court according to court documents obtained by the San Antonio Express-News.

Following the report, Spurs spokesman Tom James confirmed that Tim and Amy are divorcing. However Tim has not discussed the report since it was announced in public.

Tim and Amy married in July 2001 and have two children together. The couple met as college students at Wake Forest University. Tim played for the basketball team at the university, while Amy was a cheerleader.

The reason for the split has not yet been revealed but several reports point at Amy cheating on Duncan. According to The San Antonio Express News, Tim had concerns about his marriage since last year and even hired a private investigator to follow his wife.

The Spurs advanced to the NBA Finals championship and are awaiting for the winner of the Eastern Conference finals between the Miami Heat, Indiana Pacers series. If they win the final it would be their first NBA crown since 2007.
