Rapper Rick Ross was reportedly taken to the hospital after being found unresponsive in his Miami home in the wee hours on Thursday.

Emergency response teams rushed to the house of the 42-year-old after a 911 caller revealed the man to be "unresponsive," breathing heavily, and "slobbing out the mouth." Ross had long been known to have seizure attacks, and the caller immediately told the line about this.

Once the team got to the house to respond to the emergency, Ross allegedly became "combative," prompting the attending staff to call for the police.

Pneumonia?

Ross is reportedly getting treatment for pneumonia, while another one close to him said the recent emergency was connected with a heart issue. An insider said the rapper was requested for a gig on Thursday night but that his agent said he was in the hospital. Contrary to this, Ross's kin denied that he was taken to a hospital.

Meanwhile, sources told TMZ that machines had been helping Ross's heart and lungs. After being checked in the cardiac unit of a nearby hospital, the rapper was presumed to have suffered a cardiac arrest.

Moreover, a machine called extracorporeal membrane oxygenation was used for the rapper, and the University of California San Francisco explained that the machine basically does the job of the patient's lungs and heart. With this said, Ross might be in a serious condition.

Seizure History

Meanwhile, the public already got a wind of the previous seizure attacks of Ross. In 2011, he suffered seizures in a flight, which, he said, was because of lack of sleep. The scary event had prompted him to have a lifestyle change.

As a result of the drastic adjustments, he trimmed down from 350 pounds, with Da Boss looking slimmer than ever. In an interview with Men's Health magazine, Ross detailed the changes he made to start saving his health, including working out and cutting on food.

"I'm happy. I'm still losing weight, and now I'm starting to build hard muscle in places," Ross said.

He seemed to have strengthen his commitment to living a healthy lifestyle, with Ross saying to People last year that he enjoyed doing the things that had led to his better self.

"I've just really been eating a lot better, working out, staying RossFit, and still enjoying myself," he said.

Meanwhile, friends and colleagues of Ross took to social media to extend their prayers for the rapper. Public persona Karen Civil shared a photo of him via Twitter and wished he would recover soon. Chad Johnson, meanwhile, offered prayers for him.
