Robert Pattinson was reportedly denied access to meeting Beyoncé and tried to sneak backstage at her Los Angeles concert on Monday.

Beyoncé performed at the Staples Center on July 1 for the third stop on the U. S. leg of The Mrs. Carter Show tour, and a throng of celebrities were in attendance to witness the Love On Top singer perform. Pattinson, 26, who is avid concertgoer when he is not filming movies, went to the pop star's show with a group of male friends, according to a report.

The British hunk was denied the opportunity to meet the Houston native because he didn't request an access pass in advance, according to an onlooker,

"He was at the concert with four dudes, smoking, but in a great mood," an eyewitness told In Touch. "He was trying to get into the Beyoncé meet and greet, but he didn't have the right credentials and he didn't make it in!"

The onlooker also revealed that the Twilight star appeared to be intoxicated and made an attempt to sneak into Beyoncé's meet-and-greet with his friends.

"They tried to sneak into the meet and greet!" the insider told the celebrity weekly, adding "[Rob] waited for 10 minutes at the door and security said no. He was drunk."

The eyewitness also revealed that after he was denied access to Blue Ivy's mother, he kindly accomdated requests from Twilight fans and posed for pictures with them backstage.

According to multiple reports, an extensive list of celebrities went to see the Single Ladies singer perform live at the Staples Center. Selena Gomez, Jamie Foxx, Nicole Richie, Jessica Alba, Kourtney Kardashian and her younger sister, Kendall Jenner, Glee stars Leah Michele, Kevin McHale and Heather Morris and Naya Rivera and Dancing With The Stars alums Derek Hough and Karina Smirnoff, according to Us Weekly.
