A Boeing 777 crashed on Saturday in San Francisco's International Airport. The Asiana Arilines flight 214 traveling from Seoul, South Korea is believed to had carried 292 passengers and 16 crew members on board, according to Reuters.

The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration confirmed the crash on Saturday but authorities did not confirm the number of passengers on board. The U.S. Coast Guard said one person was taken to Stanford Hospital but provided no more information about casualties, according to CNN today.

"You heard a pop and you immediately saw a large, brief fireball that came out from underneath the aircraft," Anthony Castorani a witness who saw the incident from a nearby hotel told CNN on Saturday.

"At that moment, you could see that that aircraft was again starting to lift and it began to cartwheel ... You could see the tail immediately fly off of the aircraft," he said.

A passenger who posted a picture of the plane after the crash described the horrific experience though he said most people on board seemed fine.

 "I just landed at SFO. Tail ripped off. Most everyone seems fine. I'm ok. Surreal..." wrote Twitter user David Eun next to the photo

"Fire and rescue people all over the place. They're evacuating the injured. I haven't felt this way since 9/11." 

A national security official told CNN there are no signs of terrorism related to the crash.

Raw images posted on YouTube, showed a large plume of dark smoke coming out of the airplane after it crashed on the runway.
