The wish has been granted.

On July 25, E! News reported that actress Rose McIver has been casted to play iconic blonde fairy, Tinkerbell in the third season of the ABC drama, Once Upon a Time

The 24-year old The Lovely Bones actress will wear the legendary wings for a multiple-episode arc when some cast members travel to Neverland to rescue Henry from the evil Peter Pan, who has yet to be cast.

E! News also reported that there is no news yet on what Tinkerbell's behavior will be like in the drama, but creators Adam Horowitz and Eddy Kitsis revealed at Comic-Con last weekend that she will step out onto the show for the first time in a surprising way. The creators also said that the fairy will have a unique connection with an unlikely character, but wouldn't reveal who that character was. The duo did rule out Captain Hook.

Though Peter Pan has yet to be casted E! News also reported on July 25 that cast member Jennifer Morrison said the fans can expect "villainous 17-year-old boy" who is both "terrifying" and "the most feared villain of all time."

Season three will bring even more surprises. A recasting for the Robin Hood character was announced, as well as Lost's Naveen Andrews being casted to play Jafar.

The season premiere of Once Upon a Time is Sunday, Sept. 29 at 8 p.m. on ABC.
