Alec Baldwin has been included in the new documentary on Netflix, "Bad Vegan," as the flick discussed his relationship with its subject, Sarma Melngailis.

Netflix added the new title on its website, telling the story of a successful restauranteur who founded New York City's famous raw vegan hotspot, Pure Food and Wine. However, things began to go wrong when she met and married Anthony Strangis. She ended up swindling a whopping $2 million from her employees and investors before running away with her new husband.

In the first episode of the four-part documentary series, Baldwin's name takes the spotlight as it tackles his relationship with Melngailis.

According to the businesswoman, she met the "Rust" actor at the restaurant. After their first meeting, they constantly talked a lot on the phone and via e-mail. Journalist Allen Salkin even thought the actor had a crush on her.

"My understanding of her relationship with Alec Baldwin is that he was a regular customer at the restaurant, and that, like a lot of the gentlemen who went there, he had a bit of a crush on Sarma," he said, as quoted by Fox News. "When Alec was talking to her about wanting to have somebody important in his life, she would, instead of offering herself as that potential person, um, suggest that maybe he should adopt a dog."

Did Alec Baldwin Establish Romantic Relationship With Sarma Melngailis?

Elsewhere in the documentary series, Melngailis expressed her regret by how their relationship never progressed. The restauranter said they split up a few months after their constant communication, and the actor ended up with somebody else.

She added that it felt weird that she always thought Baldwin is a lot older than she is, but he ended up being with somebody who is younger than her.

Baldwin and his representative have not commented on the series yet. But he revealed a long time ago that he met his now-wife, Hilaria, at Melngailis restaurant.

One time, he shared a photo of himself and Hilaria on Instagram, revealing how they met.

"8 years ago, I wandered into Pure Food and Wine on Irving Place, on an unseasonably warm February evening. My friend, @bocartist and I sat down (outside!) and as I turned to my left I saw a woman who would change my life. Entirely," he said.

The Baldwin couple got married in 2012.

Meanwhile, Melngailis ended up meeting Shane Fox.
