Chris Rock may have been slapped by Will Smith in front of a live audience and millions of viewers worldwide, but he also got success in return. Recent reports claim that his comedy tour shows saw a surge in ticket sales after the incident.

According to Variety, the comedian will be performing his famous comedic act for his ongoing comedy tour this week, just days after being slapped by the "King Richard" actor.

The incident garnered many audiences as it inspired some viewers to buy tickets to see Rock perform live.

A secondary ticketing marketplace called TickPick took to Twitter to share the exciting news, writing, "We sold more tickets to see Chris Rock overnight than we did in the past month combined."

In addition to the high demand for tickets, passes for his shows have surged since this weekend. Initially, the minimum price for a ticket was $46, but now, it's priced at a whopping $341.

Per the outlet, the comedian is set to perform six shows at Wilbur Theatre in Boston from March 30 to April 1.

Following this, he will start performing for his Ego Death World Tour.

In a press release, producers of his tour, Live Nation, issued a statement, saying the comedian is one of this generation's "strongest comedic voices."

"With a career spanning more than three decades, Rock has enjoyed ongoing success in both film and television as a comedian, actor, writer, producer and director," they added.

It seems like it will be a busy year for the comedian as he has 38 scheduled dates for his tour. He's going to visit major cities, including Oakland, New York, Chicago, Toronto, Las Vegas, and more.

Following his Boston show this week, he will be performing in Atlantic City for two shows, before ending his leg at Los Angeles's Dolby Theatre, the same venue where he got slapped, on November 17.
