Even though the Oscars already ended a few weeks ago, events that transpired that night made a long-lasting impact, which led to a lot of celebrities still talking about Will Smith and Chris Rock's infamous on-stage slap.

One of the event's hosts, Amy Schumer, had spoken out about the comedian, revealing how he managed to keep his cool during the shocking assault.

Speaking on "The Howard Stern Show," the comic said the reason why her "good friend" stood on stage and did nothing but maintain his composure despite the slap is that "he's a comedian."

Schumer added, "Everything that you're afraid of happens to you while you're on stage, and then you're just desensitized, so you're not shocked by anything." (via People Magazine)

Rock presented the award for Best Documentary Feature that evening when he made a joke about Jada Pinkett Smith's shaved head, saying he couldn't wait to see her in a "G.I. Jane" sequel.

The "King Richard" actor appeared to be laughing at first, but he didn't take the joke lightly as he proceeded to go on stage to slap the comedian.

Upon going back to the audience, Smith shouted, "keep my wife's name out of your f****** mouth!"

The comic, who appeared to keep his composure the whole time, joked about the situation, saying, "that was the greatest night in the history of television."

Schumer spoke about her true feelings about the incident, explaining that it was "upsetting" and people made fun of her for saying it was "traumatizing."

She later clarified that it was not just traumatizing for her but also for everyone.

Another reason why she was upset by the drama was because she loved Smith "forever," and it was shocking for her to see the assault.

"It was upsetting for so many reasons, and it was upsetting to everyone - everyone at home who didn't even see what I saw," she added.

To give an update about Rock, Schumer said she had already texted the comedian after the incident but did not say reveal the context of their conversation.

However, she commended his move for not addressing the matter publicly, saying he's "really smart."

Will Smith has since apologized to Rock on his Instagram account, but the comic has remained mum about the situation.
