Terry Crews, a dear friend of Will Smith and Chris Rock, has spoken out regarding the infamous slap that happened at this year's Oscars; which side is he picking?

It appears that the "White Chicks" actor has a diplomatic view of the incident as he commended the comedian for keeping his cool as well as not demonizing the Academy Award's best actor for his actions.

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter to promote his memoir "Tough: My True Journey to Power," Crews said both stars are "dear friends" of his, and he loves them as brothers.

However, there was a moment in his life when he was "Will Smith at that moment," but much worse.

The actor recalled that his wife had to ask him to promise that he would not "pick this man up and put him on his head, on the concrete." (via People Magazine)

Regarding his views on Chris Rock, the 53-year-old Emmy Award nominee said his good pal "saved Hollywood" by keeping his composure the whole time.

"When I look back, by what Chris did, by just deciding to hold everything together, it actually, I think in a lot of ways saved Hollywood," he said.

The reason why he felt that way is because there could've been a "brawl" on stage, and he's not sure if Hollywood would still get any respect if ever that happened.

Crews' recent interview comes almost a month after Rock was about to present the Best Documentary Feature award, where he made a joke about Jada Pinkett Smith's hairstyle, calling her "G.I. Jane."

The "Red Table Talk" host has been open about her hair loss and alopecia struggles that led her to shave her head.

Will Smith did not take the joke lightly, so he went up on stage to slap the comic.

Upon returning to his seat, he shouted, "keep my wife's name out of your f****** mouth."

The following day, the "Men In Black" actor issued an apology for his actions, saying it was unacceptable.

He has since resigned from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. The organization has barred him from attending the show for the next decade, but he's still eligible to be nominated and win in the future.

Terry Crews is not the only celebrity who reacted to the incident. Amy Schumer also revealed in an interview that Rock maintained his cool on stage because "he's a comedian."
