Elon Musk jokingly added a company to his "must buy" list after acquiring Twitter.

After a series of talks, Musk formally bought Twitter this week for $44 billion. The Tesla founder started the bid less than two weeks ago, saying that he would soon unlock the website's tremendous potential.

But following his acquisition, he offered a joke to his followers - and most of them approved it.

Elon Musk Playfully Says He'd Buy Coca-Cola

In his empire, Twitter, Musk said that he would buy Coca-Cola next so he could bring back its original drinks with cocaine.

"Next I'm buying Coca-Cola to put the cocaine back in," he wrote.

The tweet now has over half a million retweets and 4.2 million likes, seeing massive support and receiving approval from the followers.

Musk posted a separate tweet to share that the company's tagline, "real magic is only a sip away," would serve as a nod to his cocaine-related plan.

Coca-Cola's original formula indeed had cocaine in the form of an extract of the coca leaf. The U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency revealed that cocaine became its original ingredient when pharmacist John Pemberton invented the beverage in 1885.

DEA said that cocaine was legal at that time and became a typical ingredient in medicines. People believed that it was safe to use in a small amount. However, according to Britannica, it was later removed from Coca-Cola's formula around 1903.

But now, cocaine is considered a highly addictive and illegal drug that can cause abnormal heart rates and even heart attack.
