BLACKPINK members Lisa, Jennie, Jisoo and Rosé received Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (MBE) medals from King Charles III Wednesday. But among the four members, only Rosé can be addressed as Dame Roseanne in the future because of her New Zealand citizenship.

The MBE is awarded to individuals with outstanding achievement or service to the community that has a long-term, significant impact. It is not exclusive to British citizens. That's why BLACKPINK was given the honor.

Per Gert's Royals, a Royal blogger focused on British and European Royals, Rosé -- real name Roseanne Park -- is a Commonwealth Citizen as a dual citizen of South Korea and New Zealand, so she received a full MBE honor. Meanwhile, her bandmates, who are not under the British monarch, are only honorary members.

BLACKPINK members pose with their medals following a special investiture ceremony to present them with Honorary MBEs.

While only the top two ranks of knighthood, GBE and KBE, are eligible to use the title Sir or Dame, individuals who are awarded the full MBE honor may be awarded an additional higher rank later, enabling them to use the title Sir (for men) or Dame (for women).

As a dual citizen of South Korea and New Zealand, Rosé's MBE status reportedly allows her, at present, to officially use the post-nominal title Roseanne Park MBE.

Later on, she can receive a higher grade and be upgraded to knighthood, allowing her to be called Dame Roseanne in the future.

Additionally, it would later be possible for her to get married inside St. Paul's Cathedral, as well as her future children.

With this honor, fans of BLACKPINK called BLINKS, especially Rosé-biased ones, were in awe of Rosé's MBE status and possible promotion to knighthood.

"I hope Rosé gets knighted one day. I would love to address her as Dame Roseanne Park," one fan gushed. "Let's get her knighted next," another tweeted.

"I'm just new here, but I have already been mesmerized by the elegance and charm of our [future] Dame Roseanne Park," wrote another.

The BLACKPINK members were given the honor for their role as advocates for the COP26 Summit, a climate change summit held in Glasgow in 2021, and for being advocates for the United Nations' sustainable development goals.

"I applaud Jennie, Jisoo, Lisa and Rosé, better known collectively as BLACKPINK, for their role in bringing the message of environmental sustainability to a global audience as ambassadors for the UK's presidency of COP26, and later as advocates for the UN sustainable goals," King Charles III told the guests in attendance at the ceremony held in Buckingham Palace.

"I can only admire how they can prioritize these vital issues, as well as being global superstars," the King added.
