BLACKPINK's Lisa, Jennie Release Christmas Song Covers; Trend On YouTube Music
BLACKPINK members Lisa and Jennie gave BLINKS -- BLACKPINK fans -- Christmas gifts by releasing separate Christmas song covers on their individual YouTube channels, Lilifilm Official and Jennierubyjane Official, respectively.
On the day before Christmas, Jennie released her video first, featuring covers of two songs, Zion.T's "Snow" and Sia's "Snowman." After her song covers' release, her video became the No. 1 trending YouTube video in South Korea, per Jennie News.
As of press time, Jennie's video has gained over 4.3 million views and is currently at No. 10 on YouTube's Trending for Music.
"Jennie's voice is so pleasant to hear, like I have no words to explain. This cover is so soothing, and thanks for this beautiful gift to BLINKS. Merry Christmas, Jennie," commented one fan on YouTube.
Another wrote, "This clearly demonstrates how diverse her vocals are. She proves herself as not just a rapper but also a great vocalist. She has great control over her vocal chords."
"This cover by Jennie is so good. Her angelic/unique voice made the song better. This is a very majestic gift to us BLINKS," stated a third fan.
Meanwhile, on Christmas Day, Jennie's bandmate Lisa uploaded her song cover of Britney Spears' "My Only Wish."
As of press time, Lisa's song cover has amassed over 3.3 million views and is currently the fourth trending video on YouTube's Trending for Music.
The hashtag #MyOnlyWishByLISA is also currently trending in X's music category, with over 201,000 tweets as of press time. Aside from Lisa's beautiful cover of Britney's song, her fans praised the female idol for her acting skills in the music video.

To cover a Britney Spears song is very hard, [but] Lisa just did it flawlessly. Two legends," one fan commented on Lisa's YouTube video before adding, "The cinematography is [also] chef's kiss, so natural so beautiful. I hope we will have a solo soon and an actress debut. On X, one fan tweeted, "I'm still in awe on how she amazingly nailed this cover. I know from the very beginning that she's a great vocalist, but this one made me weep."
