Melania Trump allegedly took steps to make sure her only child with Donald Trump, Barron, would get as much as his half-siblings would, according to a new book.

New York Times White House correspondent Katie Rogers' new book, "American Woman," which hits shelves Tuesday, touched on Melania's tenure as first lady.

The book, citing Washington Post journalist Mary Jordan, claimed that Melania allegedly successfully renegotiated her prenuptial agreement with Trump during her husband's presidency, Fox News reported.

The agreement reportedly included stipulations that Barron, now 17, was guaranteed "equal footing with Donald's other children," Donald Trump Jr., Ivanka Trump, Eric Trump, and Tiffany Trump.

Rogers' book also claimed that Melania engaged in a "power struggle" with her stepdaughter, who served as an unpaid senior adviser in her father's administration alongside husband Jared Kushner.

The former president shares Donald Jr., Ivanka, and Eric with his late ex-wife Ivana Trump, while he shares Tiffany with his second ex-wife, Marla Maples.

First lady Melania Trump (L) looks at her son Barron Trump after U.S. President Donald Trump delivered his acceptance speech for the Republican presidential nomination on the South Lawn of the White House August 27, 2020 in Washington, DC.

In her 2020 biography on Melania, "The Art of Her Deal," Jordan wrote that the then-first lady "wanted proof in writing that when it came to financial opportunities and inheritance, Barron would be treated as more of an equal to Trump's oldest three children," Washington Post reported.

Melania's office previously dismissed Jordan's biography on the former first lady, as "fiction" with "false information and sources," according to People.

In September 2023, Page Six reported that Melania allegedly "renegotiated the terms of her marital agreement" with Trump for "at least the third time" ahead of his potential second term in office and amid his legal battles. Enstarz could not independently verify this information.

An unnamed source familiar with the former model told the outlet: "Melania is most concerned about maintaining and increasing a substantial trust for their son."

US President Donald Trump returns to the White House with his son Barron (L) after a weekend in Bedminster on August 16, 2020 in Washington.

The couple's latest agreement allegedly includes money and property for Melania as well as "a specific amount at minimum that Barron is supposed to obtain," Page Six reported.

As of February, Forbes estimated that Trump is worth $2.6 billion, but he stands to lose a significant portion of this due to the massive penalties he owes.

Earlier this month, Trump was ordered by a New York judge to pay nearly $355 million plus interest for fraudulently inflating the values of his properties. The real estate mogul has vowed to appeal the decision.

In a separate trial, Trump was ordered last month to pay $83.3 million to former magazine columnist E. Jean Carroll for defamation. She also won a $5 million verdict against him last year.

Despite his legal woes, Trump has not slowed down on the campaign trail. Over the weekend, he scored another primary win after sweeping the South Carolina GOP primary.

According to The Hill, a new Harvard CAPS-Harris poll showed that Trump leads President Joe Biden by six points in a hypothetical 2024 match-up.
