Jennifer Lopez is opening up about Ben Affleck's involvement in her new documentary, "The Greatest Love Story Never Told."

During a Q&A at a screening of the documentary in Los Angeles on Monday, the 54-year-old entertainer revealed that despite being a "reluctant participant" in the project, her husband was supportive and even encouraged her to film parts of her life and the making of her new album and musical film, People reported.

Lopez said Affleck introduced her to the team that worked on the Amazon Prime documentary.

"It wasn't my idea to photograph every single moment of doing this," Lopez explained. "To be honest, when we started making the film, it just kind of got more and more bizarre and my husband, who had a front seat to the whole thing really, was the one who was like, 'We should be capturing this,' and he brought on this amazing team and that's kind of how it happened."

Lopez also shared that it was "scary" working with her husband on the documentary, which provides an inside look into the creation of the singer-actress' recently released album and musical film as well as shares a glimpse into her marriage with Affleck.

"I just said to him during one of the parts of the movie, I was like, 'Is this weird?' He's like, 'Yes.' I said, 'You're crazy.' I told him he was crazy, not me. But I know that I'm a crazy one. I get that part," Lopez said during the Q&A with producer Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas.

Another "very scary" part of filming the documentary for Lopez was being vulnerable and speaking candidly on camera.

While the "On The Floor" hitmaker is "quite comfortable" being in front of a camera due to her career, she isn't used to sharing her private life with the public.

"When you are kind of sharing your ... you don't have a script that you're reading and playing a character or you're not singing a song that you've written and is going to go out to the world, but you're just living your life and really sharing your deepest thoughts, because that's what you have to explore to tell this story and to do what you're trying to do. That one for me was very scary," Lopez admitted.

In the documentary, Lopez and Affleck got vulnerable about their love story, which served as the inspiration for her new album, "This Is Me...Now," and musical film, "This Is Me...Now: A Love Story."

The couple previously got engaged in 2002 before splitting in 2004.

They rekindled their romance in the spring of 2021 and tied the knot in an intimate Las Vegas ceremony in July 2022.

Lopez revealed in the documentary that she showed her music collaborators a collection of handwritten love letters that Affleck gifted her after they got back together.

She shared that the letters inspired her new music.

Affleck, however, expressed his unease about making their private life public, saying in the doc, "This was something of an adjustment for me."

At one point in the documentary, the Oscar winner asked Lopez if she had forgiven him or was angry with him.

"I think I was angry at you for a long time," Lopez told him. "But that heartbreak set both of us on a course to figuring ourselves out to being better people. I think I've forgiven you all the way. I think I need to forgive myself [for] some things."

"The Greatest Love Story Never Told" is now available for streaming on Prime Video.
