Bianca Censori's Family Linked To Gambling Empire; Uncle Known As 'Melbourne's Al Capone:' Report

Kanye West's wife Bianca Censori is alleged to be closely related to a crime family in Australia involved in drugs and an illegal gambling syndicate.

The Daily Mail reported that Bianca's father Elia "Leo" Censori and her uncles Eris and Edmondo Censori -- who all moved to Australia from Italy with their other siblings and parents in the 1960s -- had been convicted of various crimes related to drugs, murder, and violence.

Leo served time behind bars after he was convicted in 1982 of heroin possession, Herald Sun Australia reported. He was also found guilty of possession of a pistol and fully jacketed ammunition.

Bianca's father allegedly made a fortune from his illegal gambling empire.

This allegation came from a 1991 interview that Leo's former wife, Faye Glascott -- who is not Bianca's mom -- gave to Herald Sun reporter John Silvester.

During the interview, Glascott claimed that her ex-husband earned a fortune from his alleged involvement in a cartel that controlled a large portion of the illegal gambling industry in Melbourne in the '80s.

The Herald Sun reported that police confirmed Leo ran a slot machine firm whose employees "maintain computer games used around Melbourne for illegal betting," according to a screenshot published by the Daily Mail of Silvester's 1991 article.

The local newspaper also quoted Glascott as saying that Leo was allegedly a "heavy criminal figure" who could "stack money better than a bank."

Glascott alleged that she found rolls of up to $40,000 in cash hidden around their home and saw about $60,000 on their coffee table at one point.

According to the Herald Sun, Leo accepted a police guard at the time after authorities received a tip that a gang intended to kill him and steal his takings from the gambling machines.

Meanwhile, the Daily Mail also claimed that Bianca's uncle is a "notorious gangland killer" named Eris who, according to the Herald Sun, was reportedly called "Melbourne's Al Capone."

Eris reportedly was sentenced to death in Australia for a murder, but the sentence was later commuted to life imprisonment.

He was also sentenced to eight years in jail and fined thousands of dollars for heroin possession.

While he was released in 1999, Eris reportedly remains on indefinite parole today.

According to the Daily Mail, Bianca's eldest uncle is Edmondo, who is reportedly known as "Eddie Capone" and was convicted for violence, including assaulting police, theft, and threats.

Bianca's family recently made headlines after the Daily Mail reported that her father allegedly expressed concerns over her nearly nude outfits and controversial relationship with West.

"Kanye has been invited to go to Australia and Bianca is hesitant to allow this to happen because she knows how her father will react," an unnamed insider told the outlet.

The source went on to claim, "Her dad still plans to have a sit down with Kanye, and Leo will not be intimidated by Kanye's power or control. No one is expecting this to be all rainbows and family portraits."

Despite this, Bianca's marriage with West, 46, appears to be going strong since they went public with their romance in January 2023.

While reports claimed at the time that the 29-year-old Yeezy architectural designer and the rapper did not have an official marriage certificate, the Daily Mail later obtained the couple's marriage license, which reportedly showed they legally tied the knot in Palo Alto, California, in December 2022.

According to the outlet, the license was not made public record.
