While Miley Cyrus' latest pixie haircut has become almost as famous as she is, the star isn't the first or last celebrity to chop off her locks.

Natalie Portman had her hair shaved for the 2005 film V For Vendetta and she said the new look made her more noticeable.

"With hair I can camouflage with people, as a female with a shaved head, people tend to stare just naturally. But the only place I'm recognized every day is Los Angeles. Otherwise it's like once a day. I feel pretty anonymous," Portman told MovieWeb in a 2006 interview.

Michelle Williams is another actress who cut her hair, but her choice was a personal one.

"I cut it for the one straight man who has ever liked short hair and I wear it in memorial of somebody who really loved it," she told U.K.'s Elle magazine in 2011 in regards to the late Heath Ledger. "I've really grown into it - I feel like myself with short hair. And it's been a really long time since I had long hair, five years."

Ginnifer Goodwin, the star of Something Borrowed, has even said that she will probably never have long hair again.

"I really am super lazy and doing long hair, especially mine, is a big pain in the butt. It's filled with cowlicks and kinks and curls and frizz - and it was taking too much time in the morning," she told Yahoo in February. "This honestly takes me two minutes."
