Hawaii Five-O fans have been asked to help create and approve the plot of an upcoming season 4 episode.

CBS announced its fan built Five-O initiative on Oct. 11, asking viewers to vote on various plot points for an episode they are writing. The polls will be open until Halloween.

The key plot points fans can vote on include the scene of the crime, victim, suspect, evidence, murder weapon and takedown. Writers will then construct the storyline based on the most popular ideas. Before the episode goes into production around February, fans will be called on again to advise on wardrobe, props, music and the episode's title.
