Fifty Shades of Gray finally has a leading man...again. Actor Jamie Dornan has entered final negotiations for the role of Christian Gray, according to recent reports.

The Focus/Universal production was left in a lurch last week when Sons of Anarchy's Charlie Hunnam dropped from the project shortly before the November start date. Fans of the E.L. James novel need not fear, however, since execs turned back to their original casting list and settled on the 31-year-old Dornan instead, according to Entertainment Weekly.

The Northern Ireland native is most well known for his work as The Huntsman/Sheriff Graham in ABC's Once Upon a Time and the serial killer Paul Spector in the BBC's The Fall.

Dornan will act opposite Dakota Johnson who has been cast in the role of Anastasia Steele for the Sam Taylor-Johnson helmed film.

Hopefully Dornan will be able to whether the intense spotlight that has now been focused on him. The Hollywood Reporter states that Hunnam left the project in part due to the extreme hype that surrounds the role, and Dornan will now have to deal with the same pressures.

Expected to begin filming in mid-November, the first installment of Fifty Shades of Grey is currently slated for a Aug. 1 release date.
