Netflix's hit series, Orange Is The New Black, undoubtedly has more than its fair share of unorthodox characters.

However, while most of the roles serve to pique the interest of its program's fans, the part of Pennsatucky (Taryn Manning) is clearly up there in terms of uniqueness.

Aside from being an inmate, Pennsatucky is a self-proclaimed Christian disciple.

Several 'Universal Themes' Set To Be Uncovered In OITNB Following The Second Season's Premiere?

Manning recently dished about her the inner battle that her character faces, according to Wochit.

"I think there's actually a person in there, but she's so far gone from drugs and the actual damage from taking methamphetamine, which is just like the most epically, gnarly drug on the planet," she said.

In other news, OITNB creator Jenji Kohan will be teaming up with producers Bruce Miller and Tracy Miller to develop an untitled Salem period TV drama that'll delve into the Salem witch trials. Judging by her style, Kohan will more than likely take the rather serious historical situation and put a comedic twist on it.

Netflix's Orange Is The New Black is set to make its return for its second season at some point in 2014. Be sure to keep checking back for more of the latest details.
