The cannibalistic psychologist and the ailing FBI profiler will be back starting on Feb. 28 at 10 p.m. ET.

Series creator Bryan Fuller announced the news alongside a new promo poster via Twitter on Thursday.

"EMBRACE THE MADNESS FEBRUARY 28th 10 PM @NBC #HANNIBAL," Fuller wrote.

Will Graham's (Hugh Dancy) realization that his trusted confidant, Dr. Hannibal Lecter (Mads Mikkelsen), is really a gruesome murderer came too late for his own good. Following last summer's finale, "Savoureux," the season premiere, "Kaiseki," will pickup not after the profiler's arrest and will kick off a storyline focused on the subsequent hurdles he must now face - including going on trial for his alleged crimes, according to TV Guide.

The season's new poster gives a hint at what's to come, portraying Graham in a straight jacket donning the classic Hannibal mask. However, viewers shouldn't expect Will to just lie down and give up.

"It think the theme is a scrappy Will Graham coming out swinging," Fuller said of the new season, according to TV Line. "So we saw over the course of the first season him victimized in a very specific way and now we get to see what happens when he fights back and the lengths that Will Graham will go to not only defend himself but defend those around him and protect them."

Hannibal will air Fridays at 10 p.m. ET on NBC. Catch up on the last few minutes of season 1 by clicking the video below.
