The football team at Wisconsin will be facing off against South Carolina at 1:00 p.m. EST Wednesday.

The eighth-ranked South Carolina Gamecocks (10-2) will be playing the 19th-ranked Wisconsin Badgers (9-3) at the neutral Florida Citrus Bowl stadium in Orlando, Fla. The game also serves as the Capital One Bowl, which is sponsored by Capitol One and has been held annually since 1947. Wisconsin is the favorite to win among oddsmakers.

Wisconsin safety Dez Southward told his school's official website that he and his team will be taking the game seriously.

"We're not taking this game lightly at all," he said. "This is an enormous game. Just because it's not the Rose Bowl, just because it's not a BCS bowl game, it doesn't mean the opponent is not the same caliber. That's the case with South Carolina. They're above and beyond almost anybody we've played this year."

Meanwhile, South Carolina coach Steve Spurrier is grateful to have his team break out as a success this season.

"It's pretty neat to go 10-2 with this team that was called the youngest team in America," he said. "These guys may have achieved the most for such a young bunch of guys that haven't played all that much."

While Wisconsin has won six of their last seven games, UNLV has won seven of their last eight games in the NCAA.
