The CW hit series Arrow is set to return for a third season, after successful ratings solidified the show's standing amongst viewers on Wednesday nights.

Canadian actor and Arrow star Stephen Amell tweeted three words on Feb. 13th, "#Arrow #Season3, Happening", causing fans of the series to start a social media frenzy.

Amell, the handsome Canadian actor who plays Oliver Queen, has starred in episodes of Degrassi: Next Generation and Queer as Folk, but this is his most successful role yet. In a Facebook Question and Answer posted on YouTube, he described this opportunity as his "dream job."

Amell also revealed fun facts to his fans, including what superpower he would want to possess off-screen

"It's a toss-up between flying and reading people's minds," he said.

He also described what the day-to-day on set schedule is like, including "some rehearsal, some choreography, and some lunch" in between "a lot of exercise when I'm on set and a lot of exercise when I am not on set...and sleep."

The comic-based show had two very successful seasons on the CW, becoming the network's most-watched series to date, with 3.9 million viewers who can't get enough. In fact, it is one of the highest rated shows for male viewers specifically, as ratings grew among men 18-34.

CW President Mark Pedowitz not only renewed Arrow, but also confirmed that shows like The Vampire Diaries, Supernatural, Reign, and The Originals will be returning in the 2014-2015 broadcast season.

In a statement published on Feb. 13th, Pedowitz said, "We now have strong nights on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. I'm very pleased to announce early pickups for all five series, and to let our fans know they'll have more great drama to look forward to next season."
