Game 2 of the NBA finals 2012 takes place Thursday night as Oklahoma City Thunder look to build on their lead following their victory in game 1. Game 2 tips off at 9 p.m. ET and can be watched live on ABC or alternatively online through live streaming (details below).

Game 1 saw the Thunder take the early advantage in the best of seven game series, with Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook leading the way in destroying the Heat.

The Heat were simply unable to cope with the Thunder's penetration, and Chris Both in particular was guilty of defensive frailties and indiscipline.  The Heat gave away 27 free throw attempts to the Thunder in Game 1, as Oklahoma pressed the Miami defense consistently. In comparison the Heat had far fewer with 18 free throw attempts, giving the Thunder a massive advantage in the game.

For the first half of Game 1 the Heat looked like they were going to roll over the Thunder, but Oklahoma rallied back and in the end won by a comfortable margin. The Thunder did a similar job on the San Antonio Spurs during the Western Conference Finals, and Miami will be weary not to fall away as the game goes in tonight.

LeBron James was one man the Heat can say did well in Game 1, but others will have to step up to support him if they are to level the series in Game 2.

Prediction for Game 2: The Heat will storm back to level the series and take Game 2 by 3-7 points.
