As the Game of Thrones TV series catches up with the A Song of Ice and Fire book saga, there have been talks for a feature-length movie to wrap the story up.

New Character Becomes "Dangerous" Threat To The Lannisters?

George R. R. Martin, who is currently in the process of writing the sixth book in the saga, talked to The Hollywood Reporter Wednesday about bringing Game of Thrones to the big screen.

"It all depends on how long the main series runs," Martin said at the Game of Thrones season 4 premiere event in New York. "Do we run for seven years? Do we run for eight? Do we run for 10? The books get bigger and bigger (in scope). It might need a feature to tie things up, something with a feature budget, like $100 million for two hours. Those dragons get real big, you know."

Daario Going To "Challenge" Daenerys Targaryen?

Game of Thrones show runners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss recently revealed their estimated end date for the HBO series. Benioff and Weiss told Vanity Fair that the end of Game of Thrones would be around the season 7 or 8 mark, which would either be 2017 or 2018 assuming HBO keeps with the same schedule.

They also said that the upcoming fourth season of the show would serve as the "midpoint" of the show and that Martin has told them what the ending will be just in case the show surpasses his writing.

Game of Thrones season 4 premieres Sunday, April 6 at 9 p.m. on HBO.
