It looks like Captain Hook (Colin O'Donoughue) will be putting himself in grave danger on the next episode of Once Upon a Time.

Regina Ready To Feel "Deep & Real" Love Again?

A promo for Once Upon a Time's 17th episode of season 3 was released Sunday, and it seems to be all about Hook. The episode, which is titled The Jolly Roger, features Hook fighting several characters, including Blackbeard (guest star Charles Mesure) and Zelena (Rebecca Mader).

The promo also teases Ariel (JoAnna Garcia Swisher) threatening Hook, saying, "My name's Ariel. You're going to pay for what you've done."

Even his interaction with Emma (Jennifer Morrison) seems like a conflict as he tells her, "You can't just pretend like this never happened."

Once Upon a Time co-creators Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz recently promised that there would be more deaths later in the season, so does this mean that Hook's number is up? The promo seems to suggest that his life will at least be threatened.

Losing Hook would mean Emma losing both love interests within a very brief period of time. When TVGuide.com asked the co-creators if they intended on robbing Emma of a happy ending, they responded intriguingly.

"Yes, and she will be miserable from here on out. No! We haven't robbed anyone of anything. We've always said on this show that happy endings are something you have to work for. They don't come overnight," Kitsis said.

Once Upon a Time season 3 airs Sundays at 8 p.m. on ABC.
