There have been reports that Neighbors star Zac Efron could play one of the male strippers in the sequel to Magic Mike, and the actor has now dished on the chance of that happening.

Star Of Magic Mike May Not Return For The Sequel?

The actor, who recently won the MTV Movie Award for Best Shirtless Performance, spoke with Kyle and Jackie O on KIIS FM in an interview published on Sunday where he mentioned that nothing is official yet, but playing a part in Magic Mike XXL would definitely be something to look forward to.

"I loved the movie, I thought it was a really funny movie," Efron said. "It was really well done, it was cool, it was an interesting story. I honestly haven't talked to anybody about it yet, but I don't know, it's a great group of people. I would definitely be interested."

Kyle then joked that Efron would expose his privates in the film, which the actor laughed about.

"Uh, we're going to get in trouble," he said.

The actor also spoke on the incident when Rita Ora took his shirt off on stage when he accepted his MTV Movie Award, which he claims was not planned.

Efron also had an interview with Glamour published on Wednesday where he revealed that he would likely play a part in the film if leading actor Channing Tatum were to ask him.

"If he asked? I think so...yeah," he said. "The first one was really good. Channing is super talented...I don't know, I'll talk to Channing, it's up to him, man."

Magic Mike XXL is set to hit theaters on July 3, 2015.
