The sequel to Magic Mike is reportedly going to have some more wild insanity, involving a story possibly based on a strippers' convention that Channing Tatum was a part of.

The actor appeared in the June 2014 issue of GQ where he dished on how Magic Mike resembles his earlier days as a stripper, and the kind of storyline that fans can expect when the sequel hits theaters.

"We cut out so much stuff that was just really juicy fun things to happen in a movie that you haven't seen before," Tatum said.

The actor apparently attended an event in North Carolina where he danced for 3,000 women in a friend's van.

"The women would come from miles and miles around," he said. "Then you lock the doors and you say all bets are off. It gets zany and crazy, and it's a wild ride. It's an incubator for insanity. It doesn't matter almost what you do onstage."

Tatum went on with what it was like to perform at a strippers' convention, giving a possible hint on if the Magic Mike sequel will be anything like the actor's true story.

"I don't want to put anything in black and white on a page, but if you've been to one, you know how crazy it gets, and now pour kerosene on that," Tatum said. "You've seen Magic Mike -- now multiply that. Mob mentality. It's just exponentially crazier. I thought it was absolutely insane."
