Zac Efron has been one of the latest rumored cast members to take a spot as a male stripper in the Magic Mike sequel, and the actor has dished on what his current status is on the film.

On Wednesday, Magic FM 105.4 posted an interview with the actor where he was asked if he was interested in being in the movie or if anyone had talked to him about it yet.

"We haven't really talked about...it's really funny," Efron said as he struggled to think of an answer. "No, we haven't talked about it, but I mean, I love Channing [Tatum], and I think Magic Mike was an awesome movie so I mean, who knows?"

Efron then pointed out that despite the reports on making an appearance in the sequel, no one should get too excited over it just yet.

"But we haven't talked about it, don't start any crazy rumors," the actor said. "People are going to start saying I'm in it. We haven't talked about it or anything so I don't know."

The Neighbors star revealed that if he does end up winning a part, he would enjoy it since the other actors seemed to have a good time in the first film.

"It looks like fun. They looked like they had fun," Efron said.

Magic Mike XXL is expected to hit theaters on July 3, 2015.
