A lot of folks have offered up Iggy Azalea's song "Fancy" as the song of the summer, but if the Billboard charts are any indication, there may be a challenger for that.

Iggy Azalea's 'Fancy' Tops Charts

The song "Rude" by the Canadian band Magic! is now the top song on the Billboard Hot 100, as HitFix reported on Wednesday.

"Fancy," which features Charlie XCX and gained added popularity from its Clueless aping video, was on top of the charts for seven weeks. "Rude" is the first charting song for Magic!, a band that has risen pretty much out of nowhere with this poppy reggae song. It is the first reggae song to reach number one in America since Sean Paul's "Get Busy" in 2003, and the first number one hit for a Canadian band since 2001, when Nickelback's "How You Remind Me" was number one.

Iggy Azalea The New Classic Review

"Fancy" is holding strong at number two, and could easily end up overtaking "Rude" at some point this summer. Azalea also features on the number three song in the country, "Problem" by Ariana Grande. Nico and Vinz's "Am I Wrong?" and Sam Smith's "Stay with Me" wrap up the top five. Meanwhile, the second single from Azalea's album, Black Widow" featuring Rita Ora, is also on the charts, having risen up to number 65. It won't likely make it to number one like "Fancy," did, and it also likely won't get a Weird Al parody. However, for now, it is Magic! that is ruling the charts, and Azalea's reign could be over.
