Tanning Mom, otherwise known as Patricia Krentcil, has returned to her "weird and pale" natural self after going cold turkey on tanning beds for an entire month. Krentcil, who is known as "Tanning Mom," is famous for her deep brown-bronze skin, but was widely rebuked recently when she was accused of taking her now 6 year old daughter into a tanning booth with her.

However, Tanning Mom has listened to the widespread criticism and has held back from visiting a tanning studio for an entire month now. She has now emerged on the new issue of In Touch to show off her new fairer, more regular complexion.

On social media sites people have been complimenting the Tanning Mom for her new look, saying she looks fantastic without her dark bronzed skin tone. However, she has said she feels "weird and pale."

The 44 year old mother was challenged by In Touch to stop going to tanning studios for one entire month prior to taking part in a professional photo shoot with the magazine. The New Jersey resident took them up on the offer and has shed her extraordinary skin tone to reveal a much lighter, yet relatively tanned tone. She has admitted to using a self-tanner as she just couldn't do without it.

She has told In Touch: 'I've had moments where I've felt like, "I need to be tan." And I did all the spray tans and lotions and creams, too - anything to get dark. Once a doctor told me to stop tanning. But I didn't listen to him. I wanted to be dark. I like looking like I just got back from vacation."

She has said that she is now "done" with tanning for the moment, but admits that her long term habit will be hard to fight. She admits, "I might squeeze one in here or there."

Tanning Mom made headlines previously when her daughter, then just 5 years old, was spotted at school with some burn marks on her. Her teacher sent her to the school nurse where she explained that she had "gone tanning with mom."

Accusations quickly flew that she had taken her into a tanning booth, but Tanning Mom denies ever doing so. She explained that the sun burn on her daughter was from playing in the back yard, and that she had not taken her daughter into the tanning booth with her.

She told In Touch: "I would never. She comes into the room with me, but not the booth. She plays with her Barbie dolls while I tan."

Tanning Mom's other three oldest children, aged 15, 17 and 18, have all admitted to tanning though.
