Some of the cast members from The Fosters dished on what's about to come up in the anticipated Christmas special where the family members will have to work on some challenges.

'The Fosters' Christmas Special Can Be Watched Earlier Than Its Air Date

In a video from Hollywood Life posted on Tuesday, Maia Mitchell (Callie) revealed what the plot of the episode will contain.

"Brandon has a flashback and is basically remembering Callie and Jude's first Christmas with the Fosters," Mitchell said.

The actress then mentioned that there's a lot going on, including her character finding out that her father was not her biological father and Jude feels guilt over that. She then mentioned what some of the other characters are going through and how that might result.

"Lena and Stef are kind of dealing with Stef's mother and her presence in their lives," Mitchell said. "Lena is also dealing with a biological brother that she's kind of lost contact with so the episode really is about the family really kind of going through, or dealing with facing the issues that they have with each other and really becoming stronger through it."

Hayden Byerly (Jude) then revealed that there is a certain scene in the episode that he enjoyed the most.

"There's a huge dinner scene at the end of the night that I think is my favorite scene and I don't want to say why, but people will find out very fast," he said.

The Fosters Christmas special airs on Monday, December 8 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC Family.
