Thanks to Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) he is a free man and is ready to get back to business in Port Charles, but Julian's (Michael DeVry) plans could be interrupted by an unexpected surprise on General Hospital.

Ava Is Alive!

After Alexis revealed he hadn't really murdered Anthony Zaccara and was using it as a protective cover so he wouldn't be killed by his enemies, Julian was free to roam around Port Charles once again, and after Duke (Ian Buchanan) tried to convince him to let the Corinthos organization take over and rule the area, he became more determined than ever to rebuild his own, which fell apart after Luke (Anthony Geary) was arrested, Johnny (Brandon Barash) skipped town, and Ava (Maura West) fell to her presumed death.

However, his plans could take a surprising and interesting turn after he runs into an old foe-which could change the game dramatically.

Franco's Recovery Takes A Surprising Turn

The old enemy may propose joining forces with Julian in an effort to not only rebuild his organization, but to make it bigger and stronger than ever. However, there could also be another agenda in mind.

After Sonny was pardoned for murdering AJ, he received custody of his and Ava's daughter, Avery, something that Michael (Chad Duell) is now fighting him for in revenge for his not suffering the consequences of murdering his father. The foe could see Avery as a potential key to helping rebuild and take control in some way-and could persuade Julian to try and seek custody of his niece as well.

The mob war could once again begin to escalate to a new level in Port Charles as a result of whatever this new partnership winds up being.

General Hospital airs Monday-Friday at 3 p.m. on ABC.
