It was reported on Sept. 26 that Bobbi Kristina Brown, the daughter of the late Whitney Houston, was involved in a serious car accident this past weekend in Alpharetta, Ga.

However, according to her lawyers, Brown was not present when the accident occurred.

Local authorities in Alpharetta, Ga. received a call at 4:14 a.m. on Monday regarding a noise complaint. When officers arrived at the apartment complex where Brown shares a $1.2 million home with her boyfriend Nick Gordon, they discovered a 2012 black Camaro that had been severely damaged.

A spokesman for the Alpharetta Department of Public Safety told CNN that local police found a "wrecked Camaro sitting in the parking lot with its airbags deployed."

Police officers knocked on the door of who they believed to be the car's owner, possibly Gordon, but there was no answer.

The spokesman admitted they are unsure if the apartment door they knocked on was even Gordon's. They also revealed the noise complaint was for a different apartment. Also, because possession of a damaged vehicle on personal property isn't considered a violation, authorities are trying to determine if an investigation is necessary.

As of Thursday, Sept. 27, local authorities still have not gathered any information on when the accident happened, how it occurred or who was in the car. At present, they are trying to piece together clues. It has also not been confirmed that the car's registered owner was Gordon, according to CNN.

TMZ linked the incident to Brow and reported that it occurred when Brown was having an argument with Gordon, and sources told the website that Gordon was driving the car while Brown was in the passenger seat. TMZ obtained a copy of the incident report written by Alpharetta police which described the car's damages. The car's front tire and front bumper were missing while the airbags had been deployed, and no injuries were reported.

Brown's mother Whitney Houston passed away the night before the 2012 Grammys on Feb. 11, 2012. Brown's biological father is legendary R&B singer Bobby Brown. She recently appeared on Tyler Perry's TBS sitcom "For Better or Worse" and is currently filming an upcoming reality show for the Lifetime network, "The Houston Family Chronicles."
