The cross-over events between NBC's Chicago P.D., Chicago Fire and Law & Order: SVU are some of the most popular episodes on the network, and one of the stars of P.D. hopes that the string of success will continue with the addition of yet another show into the fold.

In an interview with Digital Spy, Jason Beghe, who portrays Detective Hank Voight, revealed that NBC possibly picking up the pilot for the proposed series Chicago Med, and said he'd love to have another element introduced into the same universe and timeline that the other three shows are all operating in.

"Hopefully NBC will pick it up," he said. "There's all makings of a very good and long-lasting series there, so I think it's a pretty good bet that it will go. It will be crossover heaven-I'll have four jobs!"

"It's a brand-new concept," he added of the idea of doing crossover episodes. "It's certainly good for the actors, and the network and the producers. As long as it's good for the fans then it will be good for everybody."

And though a crossover with Med if it's picked up won't be able to happen until the new seasons all begin in the fall, Beghe does get to have another crossover even to look forward to soon-when his show once again joins up with Fire and SVU before the season ends.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, The Walking Dead alum Dallas Roberts has signed on to play Greg Yates, a charismatic doctor who becomes the prime suspect in a spree of rapes and murders, for the event which will air on April 28 and 29.

Chicago P.D. airs Wednesdays at 10 p.m. on NBC.
