Former U.S. George Bush has taken up an unlikely hobby: painting dogs. It has been revealed that one of the activities Bush enjoys in his retirement years is painting portrait of dogs.

Writer Joe Hagan, who is writing a story into the legacy of George W. Bush, has revealed that the former president has ample patience to paint dogs and Texas landscapes. He has also taken up golf.

According to The Atlantic Wire, a former aide told Hagan; "I find it stunning that he has the patience to sit and take instruction and paint."

Along with the former president's legacy, the story also delves into George Bush's brother Jeb. A friend allegedly said: "Jeb is highly pained. He is so loyal. Jeb knows some of the missteps, but Jeb is profoundly impacted by the kind of criticism he's taken about his brother. It's over the top."

If Jeb makes a presidential run, there is no doubt that he will be compared to his brother and many wonder if that would be too much for him to overcome.

But Hagan revealed that although Bush has been criticized during his time as president, he strongly believes that people's perception of him will change and ultimately vindicate him.
