Poussey and Taystee's relationship was put to the test in season 2 of the Netflix prison series, with Vee (Lorraine Toussaint) really disrupting things, but now that she's gone, it's looking better for the best friends.

Wiley recently spoke with E! News about Poussey and Taystee's relationship, saying that things are looking up for them.

"Poussey had an intense experience last season and I think in a way she's still healing from that," Wiley said. "Of course she rekindled her relationship with Taystee at the end of the season so I'm just looking forward and I hope fans are looking forward to getting back to the energy of season one between those friends."

Their relationship was also in question after Poussey made a move on Taystee, which she did not reciprocate. However, as Wiley noted, things were looking better by the season finale, after Taystee finally learned the truth about Vee's maliciousness.

Multiple cast members have said that the upcoming third season is "about faith," so it's possible that Poussey and Taystee will be putting their faith in each other and their friendship as a whole.

Orange Is the New Black season 3 is slated for release on Netflix on Friday, June 12. All 13 episodes are expected to be released at once, as always.
