Netflix is launching another new show on Friday called Grace and Frankie, which should definitely be a favorite for older generations.

Netflix May Releases Include 'The Boxtrolls,' 'Inglourious Basterds' & More

Legendary actresses Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin star in Grace and Frankie, a new comedy premiering exclusively on Netflix this Friday. The series features Fonda and Tomlin as longtime frenemies whose respective husbands come out as being gay and in love with each other.

Fonda plays Grace, the more uptight of the two, while Frankie is played by Tomlin, more of a free spirit. Grace's husband Robert is played by Martin Sheen while Frankie's husband Sol is played by Sam Waterston.

Older generations will likely love the new show, with Fonda and Tomlin reuniting on screen together for the first time since the movie 9 to 5.

Early reviews for the show have been generally positive, but not entirely glowing. Indiewire says that it takes a while to get going with laughs, but the ultimate payoff may be worth it.

"I clocked my first real chuckle at about 17 minutes into the first episode," the reviewer wrote. "If you were expecting a hilarious comedy, downgrade those expectations appropriately, and instead look forward to what, with some patience, could be an intriguing portrait of modern relationships, anchored by some incredible talent."

The New York Times wrote that despite the show's main characters pushing 70, Grace and Frankie does not feel outdated.

"People who complain about aging sound old. But 'Grace and Frankie' is a senior angst comedy that somehow doesn't seem fusty and out of date," they wrote.

Grace and Frankie debuts tonight at 3 a.m. ET / midnight PT. All 13 episodes of the first season will be released at once.
