Last week, his record label Republic Records shared an interview with him, in which he revealed his game plan moving forward in the music industry, which included, "And if there is time, I'd also like to be performing at different venues."

Well, the 16-year-old is getting to perform soon. On Friday night he took to Twitter to announce that he had "big news," which led to him to say that he is "joining the line up @Fly923 Summer Jam" that's happening on Saturday, June 6.

This event will take place at SPAC (Saratoga Performing Arts Center) and Fredericks is joining a pretty stellar line up that includes Charli XCX and All Time Low, among others. It begins at 2 p.m. ET and Fredericks is super excited especially since he noted he has only ever attended two Ray LaMontagne concerts, which were performed at SPAC and The Palace Theatre. Fredericks performed at the Albany music venue last month and now he'll be performing at SPAC this upcoming weekend.

"I'm so excited and honored to be on a stage were so many amazing artists have played," he beamed.

The teen thanked his fans for allowing his participation in this event to happen.

"Thank you all for making this possible," he said, noting it "means so mu[c]h" to him.

The Voice will return to NBC in the fall for its ninth season.
