Despite her mother, Barbara, having taken care of Jace since his 2009 birth, the reality star claimed in the latest sneak peek that she was taking her mother to court in hopes of taking him from her for good.

"Jenelle's taking me to court," Barbara explains, via the MTV sneak peek.

"When I get Jace back, you will not see him," Evans promises.

Although Evans has threatened to take custody of Jace from her mother, that may not be as easy as she thinks. For the past few years, the reality star has spoke of her desire to have custody of Jace, but up until this point, no real progress appears to have been made.

In March, ahead of what was supposed to be a custody hearing, a source told Radar Online Evans was confident about regaining custody of Jace.

“Jenelle feels good about it,” a friend said. “Hopefully Jenelle can get some type of visitation set in stone so Barbara can’t keep Jace from her anymore. Custody is the next step. Jenelle is very confident about getting custody too.”

However, while she was reportedly confident about the hearing, she failed to show up. As Us Weekly reported just one day later, Evans "skipped" the hearing, instead attending couples therapy with her then-fiance, Nathan Griffith.
