The CW has set a premiere date for the drama's eleventh season, bringing Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) back into the lineup on Oct. 7 at 9 p.m. ET.

Team Free Will will retain its Wednesday night slot as season 11 kicks off, following Starling City's Arrow.

With the Mark of Cain now a thing of the past, the Winchester brothers must deal with the new breed of monsters they unleashed during "My Brother's Keeper." The Mark previously kept the Darkness at bay, but, now that Rowena has destroyed the lock once and for all, Sam and Dean must face the unknowable for the umpteenth time.

In the meantime, Castiel (Misha Collins) and Crowley (Mark Sheppard) have their own problems to deal with. Rowena absconded with the Book of the Damned, but not before setting the guard dog spell on Cas in an effort to kill her meddling son. How that battle will end remains a mystery.
