Outlander's "droughtlander" hiatus will receive a much need downpour at San Diego Comic-Con.

'Outlander' Season 2: Deviations From Books Planned, How Much Will Change?

Sam Heughan (Jamie) and Caitriona Balfe (Claire) are hard at work filming for season 2 of the Starz book-to-television adaptation, and rumors of a Comic-Con sneak peek are gaining traction as the series' Saturday panel draws nearer.

"Fingers crossed, you will have at least one video treat--but I can't spill yet exactly of what nature!" E! Online's Kristin Dos Santos teased on Tuesday.

Set to the backdrop of 18th century Paris, the second season will focus on the events of Dragonfly in Amber. Jamie and Claire set sail for the future City of Lights as "To Ransom a Man's Soul" came to a close and the first half of Outlander's sophomore run will chronicle their adventures in the Parisian court.

"The big story point picks up from where we left season 1, which is Claire and Jamie deciding to attempt to change history by stopping the Jacobite rebellion and changing history so as to prevent the slaughter on Culloden Moor and the destruction of the Highland culture after it," showtunner Ron Moore informed Entertainment Weekly.

Fans should be prepared to see a major shift in the zeitgeist now that the Highlands are several hundred miles in the rear view. From clothes, to food, to politics, Paris will be a very different animal than the world Claire was originally dropped into.
