The social worker shed his straight-laced demeanor last year, taking up arms against Blaine (David Anders) and his lackeys, and Major (Robert Buckley) will tumble even farther down the rabbit hole this fall.

"Maybe Major is trying to live life to the fullest after his near-death experience, but he's going about it in all the wrong ways," Entertainment Weekly reported. "I hear not only does he off a zombie in the premiere, but he's also snorting Utopium in the second outing."

Oh, Major.

Will this merely be an unexpected side effect of Ravi's (Rahul Kohli) cure, or will this dangerous decent be completely Major's idea? Hunting zombies is a tough gig, we wouldn't be surprised if Liv's (Rose McIver) ex went looking for a way to take the edge off.

Fans won't have to wait long to find out. Although iZombie entered The CW's line up last spring, the series' popularity managed to catapult it into the 2015 fall schedule.

iZombie will return Oct. 6 at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
