As Wayward Pines heads into its final episode, showrunner Chad Hodge warns that the theme of "Cycle" will be "You get what you pay for."

"David Pilcher saved the last of humanity and brought them 2,000 years into the future," Hodge explained to Entertainment Weekly. "He gave his life for this. It was a massively costly endeavor. When you rise to those highest of heights there is often nowhere to go but down."

Luckily, Piltcher's sister will be on the side of humanity. Pam gave us the heebie-jeebies early in the series, but the nurse is Piltcher's closest confidant and stands the most chance of pulling him back from the edge of destruction. With the possibility for a massive loss of life, those rumors of a potential new cast for season 2 are looking more and more likely.
