Z Nation's Murphy might not be the No. 1 candidate for the job, but the powerful lab rat may soon become a father.

The ex-con and Pie Girl/Serena (Sara Coates) became rather friendly during the first season, and rumors have been flying regarding a possible pregnancy amongst the Sisters of Mercy. Executive producer Karl Schaefer spread some light on the issue while speaking with EnStars at San Diego Comic-Con.

"Well, you know, [Murphy] and Pie Girl had some fun last season and we'll see the ramifications of that and the complications that brings," Schaefer teased. "There's a couple of great episodes coming up where we'll see what happens with the result of the tryst Murphy had with Pie Girl. She does come back and she's fantastic. That will be a couple of episodes people talk about."

Considering episode 6 is expected to be titled "Zombaby," it's looking more and more like poor Pie Girl may have a little surprise when she gives birth.
