The 100 is beefing up its adult cast as filming for season 3 begins.

'The 100' Season 3 Spoilers: What's Next For Raven & Wick? Lindsey Morgan Tease 'Tough' Relationship

The CW drama draws its name from its large cast of youngsters, but adults have always played a key role in the story. Since the Ark touched down on earth, however, the elder members of each faction - The Sky People, The Grounders, and the Mountain Men (RIP) - have often served more as problematic catalysts than forward thinking survivalists.

When the post-apocalyptic drama returns next spring, at least one of the newbies will be intent on keeping the Grounders way of life intact, no matter what advances may be on the horizon. This will be Titus, who will be portrayed by Neil Sandilands.

"[Titus is] an embodiment of the Old Guard, who works to preserve and protect his Grounder civilization and the fate of his people," Deadline announced on Thursday.

The appearance of Titus will undoubtedly go hand-in-hand with The 100's decision to dive further into the lore of the nuclear holocaust Earth-bound survivors.

Meanwhile, the Sky People will add Pike to their ranks. Played by Michael Beach, the character is described by Entertainment Weekly as being "a tough and charismatic member of the Ark with a staunch moral code."

Meet Pike and Titus when The 100 returns to The CW in 2016. Catch up on end of the season 2 finale with the video below.
