An autopsy on ex-NFL player Junior Seau, who committed suicide in May, showed no drug or alcohol use in his system at the time of death, according to a report released on Aug. 20 by the star's San Diego County medical examiner. The New England Patriots player was said to be "completely sober" at the time of his suicide and the involvement of drugs was ruled out as a cause of death, the Examiner reported on Aug. 21. The Deputy Medical Examiner, Craig Nelson, filed the official autopsy report stating the mentioned facts. An examination of his brain also ruled out brain damage or a concussion as a cause of death.
